Ryan Lewis is the principal of Edith Garehime Elementary School. Mr. Lewis has been an educator in the Clark County School District for 13 years with experience as a teacher, assistant principal, and principal in a variety of schools in our valley.
Prior to moving to Las Vegas, Mr. Lewis was born and raised in Iowa. After completing his undergraduate degree at Simpson College, he taught multiple elementary grades and coached junior high and high school sports for six years. During that time Mr. Lewis earned his masters degree in educational administration from the University of Northern Iowa.
Mr. Lewis enjoys spending time with his wife, son, and daughter when not tending to business at school. He particularly enjoys outdoor activities and looks forward to riding RAGBRAI (Registers Annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa) each summer.
Mr. Jorge Palacios is the current assistant principal of Edith Garehime Elementary School. Mr. Palacios has been in the Clark County School District for 25 years, 17 of these years as Assistant Principal at different schools throughout the district.
Mr. Palacios began working for the district as a Instructional Assistant, continued his education, became a teacher, and then became an Assistant Principal. He is very proud to be a part of the Clark County School District.
Mr. Palacios went through the ARL, Alternative Route Licensure program at UNLV, where he obtained his Master Degree in Elementary Instruction and Curriculum and Leadership.
Mr. Palacios was born and raised in Ecaudor. He attended an american school and later Law School where he obtained his law degree.
Mr. Palacios most favorite thing to do, when he is not at Garehime Elementary, is to spend time with his family. He also enjoys reading, watching movies, and soccer.
